Winner of the International Handel Singing Competition, Bass William Frost trained at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and is current member of the opera studio at Oper Graz.

William’s 24/25 season engagements include his role debut as Melisso in Alcina under the baton of Peter Spissky at the Confidencen Baroque Festival (Stockholm); and house and role debut’s as Reimar von Zweter in a new Evgeny Titov production of Tannhäuser, Panthée/Ghost of Hector in a new Tatjana Gürbaca production of Les Troyens both under the baton of Chief Conductor Vassilis Christopoulos, Marchese d’Obigny in Peter Konwitschny’s production of La traviata under the baton of Matteo Beltrami, and Quince A Midsummer Night’s Dream under the musical direction of Johannes Braun (Oper Graz).
Previous highlights include Sarastro Die Zauberflöte (Cork International Festival); 2nd Nazarene and Cappadocian Salome, and Le Podestat Doctor Miracle (Edinburgh Opera Group); Bartolo Le nozze di Figaro (Opera Bohemia); and the covers of Count Tomsky The Queen of Spades (Grange Festival Opera); Satyr and Citheron Rameau’s Platée (Garsington Opera) and Snug A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Scottish Opera).
