Among her recent and future engagements are Ulrica Un Ballo in Maschera, Fenena Nabucco, Madama Rosa Il campanello di note, Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder, Mahler 2nd Symphony, and Stravinky’s Les Noces (Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires); Marta/Pantalis Mefistofele (Teatro Lirico di Cagliari); and Amneris Aida (Teatro Argentino).

Chosen by the Argentinian musical critics association as “Argentinian Singer of the year” Barrientos’ repertoire has encompassed some of the most demanding roles in the verismo repertoire, her highlights have included Amneris Aida (Bunkamura Orchard Hall Tokyo; Teatro Municipal de Santiago; Teatro Colon; Slovenian National Opera); Ulrica Un Ballo in Maschera (Teatro Municipal Rio de Janeiro); Principessa de Bouillon Adriana Lecouvreur, Santuzza Cavalleria Rusticana, Charlotte Werther, Bersi Andrea Chenier, Octavian Der Rosenkavalier, Maddalena Rigoletto, Meg Page Falstaff, Sphinx Oedipe, Suzuki Madama Butterfly, Fenena Nabucco, Fricka Das Rheingold, Giulietta Les Contes d´Hoffman and Adalgisa Norma (Teatro Colón); Preziosilla La Forza del Destino, Dalila Samson et Dalila, Jazibaba Rusalka, Fricka Das Rheingold, Mère Marie Dialogues des Carmelites, Flora La Traviata, Zia and Zitta Il Trittico (Slovenian National Opera); title role Carmen (Royal Opera of Muscat; Bunkamura Orchard Hall Tokyo; Teatro Colón; Slovenian National Opera); Salud La Vie Brève (Opera-Theater Metz Métropole).

On the concert platform her repertoire includes Verdi Requiem; Maler’s 2nd, 3rd, 8th Symphony’s and Das lied von der Erde; Rossini Petit Messe Solennelle & Stabat Mater; Mozart Requiem; Beethoven 9th Symphony; and Bernstein Jeremiah under the musical direction of Massimo Zanetti, Renato Palumbo, Alex Kobert, Stefan Lano, Luka Borowicz, Ira Levin and Evelino Pido. Competition success has seen her reach the finals of BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, Operalia and at the International Singing Competition Neue Stimmen.
