Awarded first place and the Verdi/Wagner Prize at the National Mozart Competition in 1996, Eddie Wade made his Royal Opera House debut as the Mandarin in Turandot in the same season, and has since performed many varied roles with leading companies internationally.

An experienced performer on the concert platform both in the UK and internationally, his highlights include; Andrei Shchelkalov Boris Godunov (Philharmonia Orchestra/Royal Festival Hall); 2nd Apprentice Wozzeck in Dortmund, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York City (Philharmonia Orchestra); Notary Der Rosenkavalier (City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra/Symphony Hall); Carmina Burana (RTÉ Concert Orchestra); Beethoven 9th Symphony (London Philharmonic Orchestra/The Barbican); and Sciarrone Tosca at the Royal Albert Hall, and the Barbican (Royal Philharmonic Orchestra). Further concert repertoire includes Verdi Messa da Requiem, Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius, Handel’s Messiah, Dvorak’s Te Deum, and Mendelssohn’s Elijah. He has appeared on the operatic stage and concert platform with leading international conductors such as Sir Charles Mackerras, Sir Mark Elder, Sir Antonio Pappano, Esa Pekka Salonen, Maurizio Benini, Carlo Rizzi, Philippe Auguin, Andris Nelsons, Jakub Hrůša and Mark Wigglesworth.
